Gecko G540 USB Motion Control System 48v 12.5a & 3 Nema 23 300oz in 3.5A Motors

More details

This listing is for a Gecko G540 Stepper USB Motion Controller package. Please read the entire auction to understand the true gravity of this package. The system features our new in house designed 48v 12.5a power supply. Three 300oz in 3.5a stepper motors. These motors are a perfect combination for the Gecko. This is the only engineered G540 motion control system online that features a 10a power supply as standard equipment. Compare the other units, and you will soon realize why I have trouble keeping them in stock. The typical overlooked details like including three shielded prebuilt DB9 motor cables rated to 300v, and 80c, Tripp Lite IEC power cord with Lifetime warranty, and a set of my proprietary solderless connectors for ease of motor hookup integration. Upgrade this package to 600oz in stepper motors for your larger mill for an additional $140 . I can also offer motors individually if you would like to put a custom package together featuring for example 1 600oz for your Z axis, and 2 300 oz in for your table. Message me for details on your requirement. This isn't a hobby to me. It's my fulltime passion to offer a controller that will satisfy the hobbyist, or support your business model to rival full size factory components utilizing micro manufacturing. Please review the video below first to listen to me cover a system build in detail. I think it will answer most questions, and give you a feel of who, and what your dealing with. This package is the most advanced available using the most user friendly G540 from GeckoDrive. This controller features a UC-100 USB to parallel port processor. The G540 typically is used with a parallel port to control signal manipulation limiting you to only be able to use outdated computers that use parallel ports. This controller in this format is now able to be used with any computer or laptop, that has a USB port. The other feature that makes this package a hit is you are now able to use ANY Windows operating system be it 32, or 64bit. This package also features the new motion control software from CNCDrive fully registered to you. You don't need Mach3 with this system. CNCDrive has made a reliable simple version to control your system in a much easier to configure format than Mach3 offering a more streamlined approach for the average person not ready to become a full time machinist, but wants all the features for their system. If this sounds like you I invite you to download the demo version for free, and review it, and then try Mach3 .  It's amazing the simplicity of this software. How simple is it? The entire setup/users manual is only 44 pages!! (Mach3's is 106 pages) Review it here http://www.cncdrive.com/UCCNC/UCCNC_usersmanual.pdf and it still offers a VERY complete motion control software package at about a quarter of Mach3's price. The link for the software is here to download, and review for FREE. http://cncdrive.com/UCCNC.html  They also have videos of the software being used with Vectric's CAD/CAM.Another video of the software in action with a tablet using Windows 8, and touch screen https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=34&v=Sa-_CoJV9BwCNCDrive Software Features: - Controls machines upto 6-axis. - RS274 G and M codes execution. - Up to 100kHz operation. - Exact stop and cont.velocity interpolations with highly configurable advanced look ahead function. - G54..G59 and Tools offsets and G52/G92 temporary offset. - 3D toolpath viewer. - Unlimited number of user text macros. - Parametric programming using internal variables and programming mathematical expressions. - Flash screen customisable with screen set scripting. - Fast communication with optimised buffering technic producing low button press to event execution time. - Extremely low jitter on the step and direction signals for smooth, high speed and precise motors operation. - Runs in demo (simulation mode) without a software license key. - Compatible OP systems: Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1, on all both 32 and 64bit versions. Before reading this listing I invite you to watch a video of Jason a previous customer of mine. He wanted a controller to retrofit a Chinese router. He didn't require motors just my motion control system to correct the issues with his unreliable Chinese unit. In this video you will see him go from design using Vectric CAD/CAM to the 6040 machine to produce a Carbon Fiber radio controlled vehicle chassis. The risk involved when using carbon as your raw material is high when prototyping if your not confident in your controllers accuracy. The sheet he has on his table is very easily in excess of $200 , so a missed step, or driver issue could be catastrophic. The parts he produced are in virtual resale condition upon completion . Please review them here. (Click the link below for full details, and once done with reviewing it refresh the page to bring you back to reviewing this listing) Please read the entire auction carefully to see the detail this system offers compared to other vendors The system features fuse protected screw cap IEC port, and auxiliary 120v outlet to power other items requiring 120v. The power switch is illuminated to reflect "on" staus, and minature mushroom E-Stop switch is provided. The system is wired with 16AWG, and (20AWG -E-Stop Switch doesn't receive current)) and each terminal is insulated with heatshrink to provide safety. The wires are secured internally with wire ties for optimal airflow. The enclosure is a full aluminum (1.5mm in thickness) unit featuring cooling slots throughout to aid in cooling the system. The Gecko includes our Avvid Thermalloy custom heatsinks preinstalled with Arctic Silver Thermal Epoxy, and Sanyo industrial 60mm cooling fan that puts out 60 Cubic Feet perMinute @ 10,000RPM! The cooling system installed in this system allows for removal of the Gecko WITHOUT having to remove the fan or heatsinks for ease of maintenance. Unscrew 4 screws, and the Gecko is out!. The Gecko must be cooled in an enclosure to prevent overheating, and possible damage. Refer to this link to review Gecko's Heatsink Experiment http://www.geckodrive.com/g540-heatsinking Be cautious if you purchase a system without a proper cooling solution. Please refer to Gecko Drives tutorial on selecting a power supply  http://www.geckodrive.com/support/step-motor-basics/power-supply-basics.html You should have a model that will power your system correctly, however spending more for a larger model that's providing excess power you will never utilize is really a waste of money.48v 12.5a version is included in the price listed in the "Buy It Now" The typical build time is no more than 10 days, however at times can exceed 13 days. I don't neglect my quality to make sales. Please consider this prior  to ordering. Each system is tested , and calibrated prior to shipment. This is a completely hand built system. Also included is three of our solderless motor connectors with integrated mounting brackets, and 3 10ft DB9 shielded motor cables. (Simply download, and install the G540 .xml file from GeckoDrive.com, attach your motors 4 wires via the color codes for the Gecko on the solderless connectors, along with your selected resistor on the white color coded terminal ports. You will be up, and running in MINUTES! If you need to change motors or use a different resistor you can do it in as fast as you can unscrew 6 screws! An IEC power cord is included as well as DB25 Parallel cable to attach the system to your computer. The pictures directly show that all details were covered. This system will satisfy the hobbiest to the professional at a cost that's less than you purchasing the items seperately anywhere, and fabricating it yourself using the same components. The Gecko driver is the new revision 8 model with 2014 QC date code.Gecko G540 Digital SpecsFour 10-Microstep digital motor drives
